Management Accountant

About the role

CPAC Modular is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team. The role is ideal for a part‑qualified accountant or an experienced professional looking for a flexible, potentially part‑time position supporting financial reporting and project cost analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, supporting schedules and assist with month‑end and year‑end processes.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting and reporting.
• Monitor project costs, profitability and analyse labour, material, subcontractor and overhead expenses.
• Produce project‑specific financial reports, KPIs and assist project managers with budget variances.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts and investigate variances.
• Review purchase invoices, supplier payments and support VAT returns, CIS reporting and statutory compliance.
• Support audit preparation, external accountant requirements and ensure financial controls are followed.
• Provide financial insights to operational and commercial teams and support ad‑hoc financial projects.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) or significant practical accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of management accounting principles with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑financial colleagues.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills.
• Experience with SAP Business 1.
• Familiarity with Sage Payroll and Brightpay (or similar payroll systems).
