About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Manager to lead its Decision Management Programme (DMP) team in the Maynooth/Dublin area. The role blends people management with hands‑on software development, focusing on real‑time decisioning for fraud prevention across global payment transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and evaluate a high‑performance engineering team, providing technical guidance and performance reviews.
• Translate business priorities into a clear roadmap and ensure delivery of valuable features.
• Collaborate with architects to align the team with architectural standards and guidelines.
• Promote best development practices to produce maintainable, testable, scalable, and secure code.
• Manage personal workload while coordinating with teammates to meet project milestones.

Required profile

• Proven people‑management experience with strong leadership capabilities.
• Deep expertise in Java development and related frameworks.
• Ability to multitask and solve complex technical problems creatively.
• Solid organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within business‑driven timelines.
