Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a thriving company in County Clare. The role focuses on driving material and production efficiencies, reducing cost and lead time across multiple value streams serving a diverse global customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, improve quality, and reduce cost.
• Work closely with operational resources to achieve business goals and support strategic projects related to assigned value streams.
• Drive improvement in material yields and reduction in scrap for assigned value streams.
• Develop new processes and provide technical support for process documentation and equipment troubleshooting.
• Collect and communicate key process indicators to enhance operational stability and spot improvement opportunities.
• Apply Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles to plan and implement robust processes.
• Lead and implement capital projects that support process improvements.
• Support successful implementation of new products in high‑mix/low‑volume lines at or below target cost and lead time.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
• Experience in change management, lean daily management, and high‑mix/low‑volume production environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with machining applications, especially WEDM or laser processing, is desirable.
