Manufacturing Engineer – Pharma Production

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our pharma manufacturing client in Kerry. The role will ensure GMP compliance, maintain equipment reliability and drive continuous improvement across production and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee GMP compliance in manufacturing and maintenance areas.
• Support production and maintenance teams with SOP review, update and creation.
• Maintain and improve preventive maintenance programmes to ensure reliable equipment operation.
• Assist with equipment breakdowns, new equipment selection, qualification and implementation.
• Manage deviations, change controls and technical reports, and conduct internal GMP audits.
• Collaborate with QA/QC/QP on quality improvements and customer complaint investigations.
• Participate in customer and regulatory audits and monitor energy usage for optimisation.
• Coordinate external contractors for calibrations and equipment qualifications.
• Identify training needs and ensure adequate housekeeping and H&S standards.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a regulated environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of GMP, SOPs, H&S and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to work with production, maintenance and quality teams.
