Manufacturing Technician – Medical Device Production

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join our medical‑device production team in Galway. You will work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to develop, troubleshoot and improve production processes, ensuring high‑quality output for life‑saving products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to develop, standardise and improve production methods.
• Perform electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming and hardware interfacing.
• Maintain a critical spares inventory to minimise equipment downtime.
• Assist in investigating and implementing new production techniques and design methods.
• Conduct equipment qualifications, validations and related reporting.
• Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment and improvements.
• Coordinate with internal personnel and external vendors as required.
• Lead preventative maintenance for assigned processes or areas.
• Report any environmental, health or safety concerns to management.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 6 qualification or senior trades certification.
• 4–5 years of experience in a similar role within the medical‑device industry.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Proven capability to work independently and as part of a team.
