Manufacturing Technician – Night Shift (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for its night‑shift production line on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work closely with the production team to maintain equipment performance, ensure safety, and support key efficiency targets.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Valeo safety procedures, including PPE, LOTO, and emergency response participation.
• Support OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) and TLR (Total Line Rejects) targets by responding quickly to unscheduled downtime and defective‑product situations.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, apply containment actions, and drive permanent corrective measures.
• Log equipment downtime, generate shift reports, and support the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) process.
• Document and communicate spare‑part consumption, collaborate with the spare‑parts technician to optimise inventory.
• Complete scheduled preventative‑maintenance tasks, update records, and ensure required spares are stocked.
• Maintain 5S standards, provide effective shift handovers, and share relevant information across shifts.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives, reduce setup/changeover times, and train fellow technicians.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Willingness to undergo on‑the‑job training for specialised equipment.

Required skills

• Experience with Agilent i5000 ICT platform.
• Knowledge of GPIB and RS2 communication interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment schematics and technical manuals.
