M&E Estimator

About the role

Tritech Engineering, a leading Irish mechanical, electrical and maintenance contracting firm, is seeking an experienced M&E Estimator. You will own the financial and contractual management of key works projects, from initial estimating through to final account and project completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate project estimates by analysing requirements, scope and specifications, including site visits.
• Convert tenders into commercially assessed, competitively priced opportunities and secure work.
• Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring favourable terms and compliance.
• Draft, review and manage all contractual documents for key works projects.
• Monitor and control budgets, forecasts and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting risks.
• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage disputes or claims and ensure contractual compliance.
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical and Electrical Project Managers to ensure seamless delivery.
• Engage with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to build strong relationships.
• Oversee preparation and submission of interim claims and final accounts.

Required profile

• Degree (Level 7 or higher) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline, or a Mechanical/Electrical trade qualification with significant commercial experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial, estimating, quantity surveying or project management within construction or engineering, preferably M&E.
