Mechanical Engineer – Data Centres (Relocate to Dublin)

About the role

This rare opportunity allows you to relocate to Dublin, a fast‑growing hub for hyperscale and colocation data centres. You will provide technical leadership on high‑profile, mission‑critical projects, influencing design and delivery without being confined to a rigid senior title.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex mechanical design and delivery for data‑centre projects, including advanced cooling, HVAC and ventilation solutions.
• Act as the senior technical point of contact for clients, ensuring clarity and confidence throughout design and construction phases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Black & White Engineering’s global offices, integrating UK best practice with Irish and European standards.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers while expanding your own commercial and technical expertise.

Required profile

• Strong background in data‑centre or mission‑critical mechanical design (cooling, HVAC, resilience, redundancy).
• Proven experience leading complex mechanical building‑services projects in the UK or EU consulting market.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Willingness to relocate to Dublin (relocation support provided).
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.
