Mechanical Engineer – Field Based, Training Provided

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Mechanical Engineer to join a leading water‑treatment equipment manufacturer. The role is field‑based across Ireland, involving installation, service and maintenance of bespoke water‑treatment machinery, with full training on specialist equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and test water‑treatment equipment at client sites.
• Provide routine service and corrective maintenance on heavy engineering machinery.
• Work collaboratively within an engineering team to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Travel across Ireland, covering sites on a door‑to‑door basis.
• Undertake training programmes and obtain necessary tickets for specialised equipment.

Required profile

• Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven hands‑on experience with heavy engineering equipment.
• Willingness to travel throughout Ireland and reside within a 45‑minute radius of Portadown.
• Ability to work independently on site and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.
