MHPSS Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Associate to provide counselling services to international protection seekers residing in the Citywest accommodation facility in Dublin. Working under the supervision of senior staff, the associate will contribute to improving psychosocial well‑being and resilience of beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of counselling and case‑management activities for protection applicants in transit accommodation centres.
• Assist senior counselling staff in delivering individual and group psychosocial interventions.
• Coordinate with the Counselling and Case Management Coordinator to ensure service quality and documentation.
• Contribute to monitoring and reporting on project activities related to mental health support.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate university degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Educational Psychology, Pastoral Counselling, Counselling Social Work or a related mental‑health discipline.
• Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in mental health or psychosocial support.
• Registration or chartered membership with a recognized psychological association is an advantage.
• Ability to work under the supervision of senior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
