Mobile Service Technician

About the role

Ponsse is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to support the maintenance and repair of its forest machines across various sites. Based at the Head Office in Portlaoise, you will travel to customer locations, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform safe and effective repairs on forest machinery as directed by the Service Manager.
• Complete daily risk assessments, timesheets, and job cards for each task.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workplace, both in the workshop and on‑site.
• Travel to remote sites, stay overnight when required, and be ready for short‑notice deployments.
• Use only authorised equipment and conduct pre‑use checks.
• Ensure the company vehicle is kept road‑worthy, serviced, and used solely for business purposes.
• Assist colleagues with tasks while following established safety procedures.

Required profile

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including extended shifts when needed.
• Ability to stay overnight on site and carry appropriate clothing.
• Commitment to health and safety standards and incident reporting.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with customers and visitors.
