MSAT Director – Sterile Manufacturing (Ireland)

About the role

This high‑profile position reports to the Vice President of Operations and leads the Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) function for a major strategic investment programme at a flagship sterile manufacturing site in Ireland. The role is responsible for technical delivery of multi‑year expansion projects, commissioning new fill‑finish lines and ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance and commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the site MSAT function across sterile fill‑finish manufacturing.
• Provide technical leadership for new aseptic manufacturing line investment projects.
• Drive process engineering, optimisation and lifecycle management.
• Support equipment qualification, process validation and technology transfer.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation and Global MSAT teams.
• Develop a high‑performing technical organisation to sustain long‑term site growth.
• Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Significant leadership experience within MSAT, Process Engineering or Technical Operations.
• Extensive expertise in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Deep understanding of aseptic fill‑finish manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting major capital investment or facility expansion projects.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, validation and regulatory expectations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional leadership skills.
