Multi-skilled Trades Technician – Plumbing (Full-time)

About the role

The NHS Highland Estates Department is seeking a full‑time Multi‑skilled Trades Technician with a plumbing focus to support Raigmore Hospital. The role involves maintaining plumbing systems and carrying out limited mechanical and electrical repairs to ensure high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine plumbing maintenance across the hospital.
• Carry out restricted mechanical and electrical repairs of building services, plant and equipment.
• Provide shift cover and participate in a 1:4 on‑call rota.
• Support heating, boiler, pump and ventilation systems as required.

Required profile

• Essential plumbing background with a recognised plumbing and heating qualification.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Experience in heating services, boiler plant, pumps or ventilation systems (advantageous).
• Self‑motivated team player comfortable with occasional remote work.
• Flexible approach to varying work patterns and on‑call duties.
