Night Porter – Full‑time Hotel Night Shift

About the role

Cabra Castle is looking for a dedicated Night Porter to join its hospitality team on a full‑time basis. If you thrive during night hours, enjoy interacting with guests and can maintain a safe, welcoming environment, this role is for you.

Key responsibilities

• Check‑in late‑arriving guests following hotel procedures.
• Answer the hotel switchboard courteously and relay messages promptly.
• Promote and sell vacant rooms during the night to reputable clientele.
• Serve light food and beverages to residents and guests, recording all transactions accurately.
• Handle cash and charge accounting, ensuring hand‑over to the day receptionist.
• Conduct regular security patrols, focusing on guest safety, staff safety, property security, and fire safety.
• Prepare function spaces for the following day’s events.

Required profile

• Age 25 years or older.
• Full, clean driver’s licence and reliable means of commuting.
• Legal permission to reside and work in Ireland.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Customer‑service orientation with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
