Night Porter – Part Time

About the role

The Radisson BLU Hotel in Athlone is seeking a reliable Part‑time Night Porter to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of guests during evening and overnight hours. This role combines guest service with security duties in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols and monitor security systems to protect the hotel premises and guests.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer guest inquiries, and address concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the lobby, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Assist guests with luggage on arrival and departure.
• Operate the switchboard and handle guest calls professionally.
• Set up function rooms for breakfast or other events.
• Report maintenance or security issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete all required paperwork and logs accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
