Off-site Warehouse Operative

About the role

This position is based at the off‑site warehouse on Robinhood Road and involves handling inbound and outbound shipments for DHL Global Forwarding. You will work closely with the logistics team to ensure efficient flow of goods while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload domestic and international vehicles, marking manifests and reporting any discrepancies or damages.
• Operate a 10‑tonne forklift and other required machinery.
• Use the inventory management system to record movements and maintain accurate stock levels.
• Participate in cycle counts, stock checks and daily cleaning activities.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety policies, Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for Life Science, and all DHL Global Forwarding procedures.
• Prepare and verify import/export documentation, including manifests and trailer check sheets.
• Support supplier quality checks and assist with customer or audit inquiries.

Required profile

• Ability to work Monday‑Thursday 8:00‑16:30 and Friday 8:00‑15:30.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward problem solving.
• Team‑oriented mindset with respect for diversity and a commitment to safety.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (10‑tonne capacity).
• Proficiency with an inventory management system.
• Knowledge of import/export documentation and labeling.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for Life Science.
