About the role
The Medical College of Georgia seeks a full‑time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor to serve as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Joseph's / Candler Health System, Savannah campus. This non‑tenure‑track position supports the development and delivery of a nationally recognized residency program.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the quality of didactic and clinical education across all training sites.
- Review, update, and revise curricula to align with ACGME competency standards.
- Select, supervise, and annually evaluate core faculty performance.
- Assist with ACGME reporting via the Accreditation Data System (ADS) and annual program documentation.
- Ensure timely resident evaluations, schedule creation, and compliance with duty‑hour regulations.
- Facilitate faculty credentialing and supervision documentation.
- Participate in GME governance meetings and Clinical Competency Committee activities, including milestone assessments.
Required profile
- Full‑time faculty appointment at Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank.
- Experience in internal medicine education and residency program administration.
- Familiarity with ACGME accreditation requirements and competency frameworks.
- Ability to manage multiple sites, faculty, and resident schedules.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the ACGME Accreditation Data System (ADS) for reporting and data entry.
- Curriculum development and revision expertise.
- Faculty evaluation and performance tracking.
