Operations Director – Engineering Projects (Ireland/Europe)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead the delivery of high‑value mechanical, electrical and engineering projects across Ireland and mainland Europe. Based in Ireland, the role involves frequent travel to project sites and requires a strategic leader who can drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational delivery of multiple large‑scale engineering projects.
• Develop and execute operational strategy, performance metrics and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Manage project profitability, commercial performance and operational risk.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Lead and develop Regional Directors, Project Directors and senior operational teams.
• Support business growth, innovation and expansion into international markets.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in the construction or engineering sector.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale MEP projects.
• Strong commercial, operational and financial management expertise.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across mainland Europe.
