Operations Manager - Nights

About the role

Join the Coll-8 team as the Night Operations Manager and take ownership of the overnight depot that keeps parcels moving. You will lead a high‑performing crew during the critical night shift, ensuring every package is sorted, dispatched, and ready for the next stage of its journey.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end overnight depot operation, covering inbound, sortation, dispatch and operational hand‑over.
• Lead, coach and develop Team Leaders and frontline staff to achieve outstanding results.
• Monitor and deliver key productivity, service and cost performance targets.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety, security and operational standards.
• Support satellite depots and collaborate closely with transport and network teams to maintain service excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing efficiency opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing fast‑paced logistics, parcel, warehouse or depot operations.
• Demonstrated leadership of frontline teams in a shift‑based environment.
• Strong understanding of depot processes, including sortation, dispatch and courier management.
• Excellent analytical, communication and decision‑making abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Full clean driving licence and GCSE‑level education or equivalent industry experience.
