Optical Assistant

About the role

Join Specsavers at the Citywest Shopping Centre as an Optical Assistant. You will be the friendly face of the store, using your passion for the brand and strong customer‑service skills to create a welcoming environment for shoppers and colleagues alike.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, assess their needs and guide them through the optical product range.
• Assist with frame selection, lens fitting and basic dispensing tasks.
• Operate store IT systems to process orders, manage appointments and handle payments.
• Maintain a clean, well‑stocked and visually appealing store environment.
• Collaborate with the optical team to ensure smooth daily operations and high service standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant.
• Strong enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service.
• Team‑player with initiative and a willingness to step out of your comfort zone.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with store IT systems and basic computer literacy.
