Packaging Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Packaging Design Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will support the design function on new and existing projects, ensuring high‑quality packaging solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the Packaging Team Lead and assist with testing, design, and support for new and existing packaging projects.
• Act as the primary contact for sales, production, and logistics teams regarding new designs and sample runs.
• Plan, prioritize, and execute the Design Centre work schedule, guaranteeing that all samples meet quality standards.
• Manage documentation for Engineering Change Orders, tooling layouts, quotes, and production drawings.
• Create or modify artwork and participate in customer site visits alongside sales representatives.
• Oversee Design Centre updates, supply stock levels, lab presentation, and waste management.
• Implement quality‑control systems and ensure compliance with ISO quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Support maintenance of test lab and design centre equipment, including calibration and software updates.
• Assist with CAD Table Operative training and collaborate on projects with the US team.
• Attend relevant training sessions, seminars, and perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in a design or engineering role, preferably within packaging or a related industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software with strong attention to detail and documentation control.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
