Part-time Host/Hostess

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and energetic Host or Hostess to join our busy Bar & Grill in Liffey Valley. The role is part‑time and involves welcoming guests, managing reservations and ensuring a smooth front‑of‑house experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
• Handle telephone enquiries and reservation bookings with professional etiquette.
• Manage cash handling procedures in line with company policy.
• Coordinate with wait staff to optimise table turnover during peak hours.
• Assist with basic administrative tasks such as updating guest lists.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Polished telephone etiquette and problem‑solving ability.
• Strong desire to deliver consistently high customer service standards.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good command of the English language.
• Impeccable self‑presentation.
• Experience with cash handling procedures.
• Previous wait‑staff experience is an advantage.
