Part‑Qualified Accountant – Finalist (1‑year FTC)

About the role

This 1‑year fixed‑term position supports a growing Irish business in Wicklow, delivering accurate financial reporting and actionable insights. You will work closely with finance and operational teams to improve reporting efficiency, automate processes and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end activities, including reconciliations, journal entries and management reporting.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, providing analysis and commentary on performance and variances.
• Prepare and present financial and operational reports that aid business decision‑making.
• Partner with stakeholders to resolve issues, identify cost‑optimisation opportunities and enhance performance visibility.
• Utilise Power BI, Power Query and other data tools to streamline reporting and generate insights.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives, develop KPIs, strengthen controls and support audit activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medium‑to‑large commercial environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on financial systems and data accuracy.
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines while delivering high‑quality results.
