Part‑time Young Engineers Instructor (STEM Workshops for Children)

About the role

Young Engineers is seeking enthusiastic part‑time instructors to deliver hands‑on STEM and engineering workshops for children aged 6–12 across schools, after‑school clubs, libraries, community centres and holiday camps in Dún Laoghaire‑Rathdown.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging engineering challenges and building activities that develop creativity, problem‑solving and teamwork.
• Prepare and set up workshop materials according to the provided curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and fun learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with schools, community partners and parents.
• Complete required Garda vetting and adhere to all safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Reliable, professional and punctual.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and comfortable working with children.
• Organised with strong communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland and availability during after‑school hours and school holidays.
• Willingness to undergo Garda vetting.
• Applicants with teaching experience, youth‑leadership or childcare backgrounds are especially welcome.
