Pharmacy Support Worker – Medicines Management

About the role

The Medicines Management Team at NHS Fife is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Support Worker to help deliver its Medicines Optimisation programme. You will work closely with senior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to implement optimisation changes for patients across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Medicines Optimisation changes according to Project Implementation Guides.
• Prepare and send communications to patients regarding medication switches.
• Update patient records to reflect changes and ensure accurate documentation.
• Support safe, effective, and cost‑effective prescribing practices.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including pharmacists, technicians, and prescribing support nurses.

Required profile

• Motivated and detail‑oriented with a commitment to patient safety.
• Willingness to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom or eligibility for sponsorship.
• Ability to work full‑time (37 h) or part‑time as required.
