Pharmacy Technician

About the role
We are a busy independent pharmacy operating seven days a week and are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The role involves supporting the pharmacist in dispensing medication, managing stock, preparing blister packs and handling pharmacy claims in a friendly, professional environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescriptions under the pharmacist’s supervision.
- Double‑check all work for accuracy and completeness.
- Assemble and organise blister packs for patients.
- Process and track pharmacy claims, including resubmissions.
- Monitor stock levels and order medicines as needed.
- Assist customers and provide advice on over‑the‑counter products.
Required profile
- Minimum 6 months experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an Irish‑run pharmacy.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekend and late‑evening shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and a professional, customer‑focused attitude.
Required skills
- Proficiency with a pharmacy management system.
- Experience in submitting and resubmitting pharmacy claims.
