Planner Graduate

About the role

Designer Group is a leading international mechanical and electrical provider specialising in turnkey packages for the design, supply and installation of M&E services, delivering complex engineering solutions across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. As a Planner Graduate, you will join the Project Controls and Planning team and gain practical experience in project planning and programme management on major M&E projects, working alongside experienced planners and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the development and maintenance of project programmes
• Support project teams with progress updates and reporting
• Help track project milestones and key activities
• Support programme updates and schedule analysis
• Help identify programme risks, delays and dependencies
• Assist with progress reporting and project dashboards
• Maintain accurate planning documentation
• Work with construction, engineering, commercial and project teams

Required profile

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Good numerical ability and attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Interest in project planning and construction
• Proactive approach and willingness to learn

Required skills

• Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is advantageous
