Platform Engineer – Dublin

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines that support our data engineering and data science teams. You will create tools and self‑service capabilities that enable data scientists to deploy and manage their applications with minimal manual effort.

Key responsibilities

• Implement automation for operational processes and develop self‑service solutions for data scientists.
• Ensure platform security and continuously monitor performance for high availability.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to provision, scale, and secure cloud infrastructure.
• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerised workloads.
• Architect, deploy, and optimise Azure cloud services, managing cost and resource utilisation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, mentor junior members, and promote DevOps best practices.
• Implement observability solutions, including monitoring and logging, to maintain system health.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience automating operational workflows and building self‑service platforms.
• Strong understanding of platform security, performance tuning, and high‑availability design.
• Hands‑on experience with IaC, Kubernetes, and Azure cloud environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Commitment to continuous learning and process optimisation.
