Post Primary Teacher – Science and Agricultural Science

About the role

The Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board is seeking a qualified Post Primary Teacher to deliver Science and Agricultural Science at Coláiste an Átha in Kilmuckridge. This is a pro‑rata, fixed‑term position for the 2026/27 academic year, working 22 hours per week and linked to a career break.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Science and Agricultural Science curriculum in accordance with the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct.
• Provide learning support and guidance to post‑primary students as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to school reporting.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school community activities.
• Potentially join a panel that may fill temporary or permanent vacancies during the school year.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with registration on the Teaching Council of Ireland.
• Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Science, Agricultural Science or a related field.
• Commitment to inclusive, student‑centred teaching practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a school team.
