Practice Accountant – Full-Time, Permanent (Kilkenny)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified or part‑qualified accountant to join our award‑winning practice in Kilkenny. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to work with a diverse client base while developing your technical expertise in a supportive, values‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and prepare financial statements, management accounts and tax computations for sole traders, companies and partnerships.
• Prepare and file statutory accounts, VAT returns and perform bank reconciliations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and deadlines.
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide advice that supports business growth.
• Collaborate with senior partners and specialist teams on strategic projects and firm‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• CPA, ACCA or ACA qualified (or part‑qualified) accountant.
• Minimum of one year experience in a public practice or accounting firm.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, commercial awareness and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
