Practice Development Nurse – Endoscopy

About the role

The NHS Highland is seeking a Band 6 Practice Development Nurse with a passion for endoscopy. You will lead evidence‑based clinical teaching and supervision to ensure nursing staff achieve the competency required for safe patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clinical skills training and supervision for endoscopy staff nurses.
• Assess and develop competency against local and national guidelines.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of endoscopy procedures and best practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support continuous improvement.
• Manage your own workload while contributing to a busy, dedicated team.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse, Band 6 level, with experience in endoscopy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive practice.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
