Production Manager – Chilled Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established chilled food manufacturer in Bantry to recruit an experienced Production Manager. The role leads daily operations across processing, preparation, packing and dispatch, ensuring safety, efficiency and the highest quality standards in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities, delivering plans that meet service, quality, labour and cost targets.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as yield, waste, labour efficiency, downtime and OTIF performance.
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, customer and legal food safety requirements.
• Maintain hygiene, environmental standards and support internal, customer and third‑party audits.
• Motivate, develop and manage production teams, including staffing and labour planning.
• Drive continuous improvement projects, working with engineering, technical and planning departments.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure safe systems of work are followed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or senior production leader in chilled, high‑care or fast‑moving food manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a demanding, fast‑paced production environment.
• Strong operational, people‑management and problem‑solving capabilities.
