Production Manager

About the role

Oakpark Foods is seeking a Production Manager to lead operations at its Cahir facility in County Tipperary. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role is responsible for driving continuous improvement and ensuring efficient, high‑quality food manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and control manufacturing processes to meet cost, quality and output targets.
• Supervise production staff, monitor daily yield and efficiency, and implement corrective actions.
• Identify training needs and develop the team’s skills to maximise plant performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Logistics and HR to optimise production capabilities.
• Manage staff working hours and coordinate payroll through the HR system.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and other continuous‑improvement programmes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, food‑safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Proven track record managing a sizeable food production site.
• Strong commercial awareness and a passion for delivering high‑quality products.
• Excellent organisational, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Confidence, technical aptitude and project‑management experience.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
