Production Operator – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (Cork)

About the role

We are seeking a Production Operator to join AbbVie’s manufacturing site in Cork on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. Working on a 24‑hour, 5‑day‑a‑week shift, you will operate a range of pharmaceutical equipment to produce medicines to GMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Quality Assessment rules, GMP guidelines and SOPs for all equipment and plant operations.
• Prepare the work area by verifying production schedules, supplies, batch codes, lot numbers and FIFO requirements.
• Operate process machines such as Nano Mill, Niro Granulation, Sifting & Blending, Tabletting, Coating, Sorting/Metal Detection, Dispensing Equipment, Fitzmill, Sweco Sieve, Glatt Coating and Encapsulation.
• Maintain OEE targets for cycle and change‑over times.
• Complete Master Batch paperwork and in‑process testing, taking samples and documenting results.
• Identify and report deviations, perform first‑level troubleshooting and apply corrective actions.
• Adhere to safety regulations and report any incidents.

Required profile

• Understanding of GMP principles and ability to work with SOPs.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow production schedules and documentation procedures.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24/5 manufacturing environment.
• Basic numeracy for batch record completion and sample tracking.
