Production Supervisor – Food Manufacturing

About the role

Lir Chocolates is seeking a hands‑on Production Supervisor to lead our shift teams in a high‑precision chocolate manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for meeting production KPIs while ensuring strict compliance with quality, food safety and health & safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise production teams on shift to deliver daily and weekly KPIs.
• Maintain full compliance with Quality Assurance, food safety, hygiene, SOPs and Health & Safety standards.
• Drive a right‑first‑time culture by monitoring line performance, conducting daily audits and implementing corrective actions.
• Plan resources, changeovers and production schedules in collaboration with Planning, Warehouse, Set‑Up and Packing teams.
• Lead, motivate and develop team members through coaching, performance management, job rotation and training.
• Ensure clear communication via shift handovers, daily review meetings and accurate production documentation.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement and lean initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality and team behaviours.
• Act as a visible, hands‑on leader on the floor, maintaining high housekeeping standards and safe working practices.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory or leadership experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG production environment.
• Strong operational knowledge of production processes, KPI delivery, labour planning, changeovers and resource optimisation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop teams at all levels.
• Experience working within Quality Assurance and food safety systems.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask under pressure.
