Professional Services Engineer – Spanish Speaker

About the role

NetApp is seeking a Senior Professional Services Engineer to join its global 24x7 Storage Operations team. The role provides Level 3 support for Platform and Managed Services customers, handling incidents, service requests, problem management, and infrastructure upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve Level 3 incidents and service requests for NetApp storage environments.
• Perform ONTAP upgrades, firmware updates, and cluster switch operations.
• Lead troubleshooting of performance issues across CIFS, NFS, iSCSI and Fibre Channel protocols.
• Collaborate with delivery teams as an escalation point and track project status.

Required profile

• Fluent in Spanish and English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 8+ years of related experience (or equivalent education/experience) and a bachelor’s or higher degree.
• Positive, proactive, team‑oriented attitude and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Basic understanding of AI and generative AI technologies to improve troubleshooting and documentation.

Required skills

• Deployment and administration of NetApp storage (CDOT, 7‑Mode, ONTAP), including snapshots, SnapMirror, IntelliSnap, cloning, deduplication and security hardening.
• Experience with NetApp management tools such as OnCommand Unified Manager, Performance Manager and ActiveIQ.
• Strong knowledge of storage protocols (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel) and SAN/Fabric switches.
• Familiarity with NetApp cloud solutions (CVO, StorageGrid, E‑Series, Cloud Backup, DII, Amazon FSxN for ONTAP).
• Knowledge of Trident, OpenShift, OpenStack, Logic Monitor, VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS, IBM Blade Center, Flex Pod, Windows Server and Linux system administration.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
