Project Director – Delivery (Data Centres)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of hyperscale and large‑scale colocation data centre projects across Qatar and the wider MENA region. This senior leadership position oversees the full project lifecycle from award to commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and accountability for large‑scale data centre projects.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams covering construction, engineering, commercial, planning, procurement, commissioning, and HSE.
• Develop and execute project strategies to meet programme, budget, quality, and client expectations.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain primary client relationships and act as the main point of contact for stakeholders.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, OEMs, utility providers, and authorities.
• Drive construction excellence, safety performance, and quality assurance.
• Lead commercial activities including change control, contract administration, claims management, and cost control.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Supervise commissioning, testing, integrated systems validation, and final handover.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• 15+ years of experience delivering large‑scale, mission‑critical construction or data centre projects.
• Proven track record with hyperscale data centre or major EPC developments.
• Strong understanding of project execution, construction methodologies, commercial management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple workstreams.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client‑facing skills.
• Middle‑East experience preferred; experience with hyperscale clients (AWS, Microsoft, Google, etc.) is advantageous.
