Project Engineer – Dublin

About the role

John Paul Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Dublin team. You will support project delivery by providing technical expertise, ensuring quality standards, and coordinating with design and construction partners.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and wider team with technical advice.
• Liaise daily with the project team, design team, and subcontractors.
• Perform technical verification of civil engineering designs, models, and drawings.
• Implement QA procedures, including concrete pre‑ and post‑pour checks, RFIs, and resolution of technical issues.
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site.
• Monitor and record materials, plant, and logistics.
• Maintain accurate records and produce regular reports.

Required profile

• Relevant third‑level degree.
• 7+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with a main contractor.
• Project experience on reinforced‑concrete frames in commercial and residential settings.
• Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, and levelling equipment (essential).
• Strong IT skills, including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
