Project Engineer – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our growing engineering team delivering commercial and industrial decarbonisation projects across Ireland and Europe. The role involves supporting the development, design and delivery of large‑scale energy projects, working closely with engineering, project management and sales teams to provide innovative technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual project layouts using CAD and other engineering software.
• Optimise designs to maximise technical performance and commercial value.
• Analyse project data to assess resource requirements and feasibility.
• Develop high‑level energy models and estimate annual energy performance.
• Conduct pre‑sales site surveys and post‑sales site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Support the preparation of technical proposals and project documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Sales and Operations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System procedures and promote health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience on large‑scale construction or engineering projects, preferably in renewable energy, HVAC or heat‑pump sectors.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Ireland and occasionally to the UK and Europe.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of energy modelling and commercial building services.
