Project Manager – Automation

About the role

The company is a leading medical and life‑sciences automation equipment manufacturer seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its PMO team in Limerick. You will lead cross‑functional automation projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring schedule, cost and quality targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Own medium‑to‑large automation projects end‑to‑end, managing scope, schedule, cost and quality.
• Serve as the primary customer interface for updates, decisions and issue resolution.
• Build and maintain project budgets, risk registers and communication plans.
• Partner with Fabrication, Assembly and Production Control to align project and operational plans.
• Mentor junior project managers and coordinators as the team expands.

Required profile

• 5–7+ years of project management experience, preferably in automation or equipment manufacturing.
• Degree in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of machining, fabrication, assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and project‑management tools.
• PMP certification or equivalent and exposure to Lean/Continuous Improvement is a strong plus.
