Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of the project, ensuring safety, efficiency and programme compliance.
• Lead and coordinate site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and direct labour across all construction phases.
• Monitor progress, budgets, resources and milestones, reporting performance, risks and commercial matters to the Contracts Manager.
• Maintain relationships with clients, local authorities, utility providers and other stakeholders.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, procurement, plant, materials and site resources.
• Identify risks, variations and change events, supporting the commercial team with change management.
• Ensure quality assurance, health & safety and environmental standards are upheld.
• Review project documentation (drawings, specifications, as‑built records) for compliance.
• Mentor site engineers and junior team members; chair site meetings and coordinate planning activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing public realm, roads, urban infrastructure or heavy civil projects.
• Strong understanding of project planning, commercial management and contract administration.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Full clean Irish driving licence.
