Project Manager – New Syringe Fill Plant Engineering Readiness

About the role

PE Global is seeking a Project Manager to lead engineering readiness for a new syringe fill plant for a multinational biotech client in Dublin. This is a 12‑month contract position with a hybrid work model, reporting to the Associate Director and forming part of the Operations Readiness Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and drive engineering readiness for the new filling plant, ensuring alignment with programme goals.
• Coordinate introduction of new processes, equipment and materials, including problem‑solving and troubleshooting prior to qualification and start‑up.
• Collaborate with system owners, maintenance supervisors, technicians, capital project engineers and vendors on equipment upgrades and retrofits.
• Develop and implement maintenance programmes and optimise spare‑parts inventory for new equipment.
• Maintain the project schedule/plan in line with overall programme objectives.
• Manage scope, risks, issues and decision logs, and own GMP change control documentation.
• Motivate, support and direct project team members, leading meetings and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, financial and regulatory standards throughout the project.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing.
• Proven leadership in a manufacturing environment, engaging site SMEs, managers and global functions.
• Ability to work independently, identify risks and define mitigation pathways.
• Strong influence and change‑management capabilities across multinational teams.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and high‑energy execution.
