QA Manufacturing Inspector – Weekend Shift

About the role

Alcon is seeking a QA Manufacturing Inspector to join the production team on a weekend shift. The role ensures that all manufactured eye‑care products are released in a timely, compliant manner while supporting quality system compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform product release for all manufactured items, including DHR review for completeness.
• Prepare and administer certification tests and review reject samples.
• Conduct cosmetic reject reviews and report findings.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and equipment.
• Observe and report deviations from Good Manufacturing Practices during compliance audits.
• Complete surveillance audits and walkthroughs of production areas.
• Identify, issue, and investigate non‑conforming events (NCE) and drive corrective actions.
• Enter data, perform basic statistical evaluations, and assist with sampling plan assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation, DHR/BHR files, SOPs, and specifications.
• Support validation, process improvement, and occasional laboratory testing duties.

Required profile

• Minimum Leaving Cert or equivalent; preferably a certificate or diploma in a quality‑related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a quality, technical, or manufacturing role; 2 years preferred in medical‑device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and comply with regulatory standards.
