QC Analyst

About the role

Join SGS, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, as a QC Analyst within the Scientific In‑sourcing team in Ireland. You will work in a GMP‑regulated laboratory, performing analytical testing on pharmaceutical raw materials and drug substances to ensure product safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform GC and HPLC analyses, along with other required analytical techniques, following validated procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, schedule calibrations and ensure audit‑ready status.
• Manage inventory of analytical materials and ensure proper documentation in LIMS.
• Review and verify results generated by peers, assess data, and close out batch analyses.
• Write and update SOPs, methods, and analytical reports.
• Participate in investigations, deviations and laboratory audits.
• Support team KPIs related to training, productivity and on‑time testing.

Required profile

• Science degree (Level 7) in Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in a GMP laboratory.
• Demonstrated ability to work to strict technical and GMP standards.
