QC Analyst (Pharmaceutical Testing)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Analyst to join SGS’s Scientific In‑sourcing team in Ireland. The role involves testing pharmaceutical raw materials and drug substances in a GMP‑compliant laboratory, primarily using GC and HPLC techniques.
Key responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing of raw materials and drug substances according to client procedures and GMP standards.
- Operate and maintain GC, HPLC and other analytical instruments, ensuring proper calibration and upkeep.
- Enter and review data in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and generate reports.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, housekeeping and audit‑ready conditions.
- Write and update SOPs, methods and other documentation.
- Train and qualify new analysts and support peer reviews of results.
- Lead investigations and deviations for atypical results.
Required profile
- Science degree (BSc) in Chemistry or related field (Level 7).
- Minimum 2 years experience in a GMP‑regulated laboratory.
- Current training records and ability to maintain 100 % compliance.
