Qualified Accountant – Longford (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join a leading accountancy practice in Longford. This permanent, hybrid position offers the chance to work with a varied client portfolio across multiple sectors, develop technical expertise, and grow within a supportive, team‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of sole trader, partnership and limited company clients, delivering tailored accounting and financial support.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and complete income tax and corporation tax returns ahead of deadlines.
• Provide strategic financial advice based on each client’s business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Meet regularly with clients to review financial positions, ensure compliance and nurture strong relationships.
• Mentor junior team members, uphold service standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Report directly to senior management and support overall team performance.

Required profile

• Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum two years’ post‑qualification practice experience.
• Proven experience supervising junior staff and managing client accounts.
• Strong technical ability in accounting and tax with a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, positive attitude.
