Qualified Early Years Educator

About the role

Oakwood Creche is seeking a fully qualified Early Years Educator to look after children under the age of two in our Galway centre. The successful candidate will provide a safe, nurturing environment that supports the developmental needs of infants and toddlers. This role requires a caring attitude, strong communication skills, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate activities that promote physical, social and cognitive development.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers.
• Observe and record children’s progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff and parents.
• Ensure all health, safety and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create consistent routines and support transitions.

Required profile

• Relevant childcare qualification from the approved list or recognized equivalent.
• Fully translated qualification documents and, where applicable, international police vetting.
• Proficient spoken and written English.
• Current residence in Galway.
• Kind, patient, and able to work effectively with very young children.
