Qualified or Part‑Qualified Accountant – 4‑Day Week

About the role

We are seeking a qualified or part‑qualified accountant to join a well‑established, growing accountancy practice in Longford. This permanent role offers a supportive, modern environment with a strong work‑life balance and genuine progression opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients across various industry sectors.
• Prepare sole trader, partnership and company accounts.
• Prepare income tax and corporation tax returns.
• Provide financial information and business advice to clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assist clients with compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Support, mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Report directly to senior management/partners.
• Attend and lead client meetings.

Required profile

• Professionally qualified or experienced part‑qualified accountant.
• Previous practice experience (essential).
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Positive, proactive and team‑oriented approach.
