About the role

The Quality and Training Officer will join the Quality Enhancement & Development department in the West Region of Corlann Ireland. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will ensure that training needs of the service are met and that quality standards are upheld across daily operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and deliver training programmes that meet the requirements of Corlann West.
  • Support quality assurance processes and monitor compliance with disability standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Promote the ethos and vision of Corlann by ensuring services are person‑centred and rights‑based.
  • Participate in organisational development projects and contribute to effective teamwork.
  • Maintain flexible working hours to align with the Personal Outcome Measures model.

Required profile

  • Level 7 (QQI) qualification – BA in Social Care Studies, Training & Development or a related health/social care discipline.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in disability services, preferably with intellectual disabilities or autism.
  • Proven experience delivering training to adult learners.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and facilitation abilities.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car.

Required skills

  • High level of IT proficiency.

What we offer

  • Permanent part‑time contract (35 hours per fortnight) with a rotating 5‑day roster.
  • Flexible working hours between 8 am and 8 pm to meet service needs.
