Quality Assurance Coordinator – Food Manufacturing

About the role

The Quality Assurance Coordinator will support Lir Chocolates in defining and maintaining quality standards across its chocolate production lines. You will monitor the quality management system, ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and help drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain site audit and food safety standards, ensuring GMP, hygiene, allergen and CCP controls are effectively implemented.
• Conduct quality, hygiene and line audits, including glass & brittle plastic checks, post‑clean inspections, ATP/allergen swabbing, traceability and barcode verification.
• Validate product and process compliance, manage batch documentation, retained samples, shelf‑life control, equipment calibration and microbiological testing.
• Support quality investigations, raise NCRs, perform root‑cause analysis, implement corrective actions and report findings to the Quality Manager.
• Promote an operational quality culture by facilitating taste panels, monitoring hygiene practices, identifying training needs and collaborating with production teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience with internal quality audits in a Food/FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with capacity to perform gap analysis and interpret quality data.
• Good understanding of food safety and quality principles, including GMP, allergen awareness, pest awareness and Food Safety Level 1 or 2.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using database systems for quality documentation management.
